About the Role
Cognizant is hiring fresh graduates for Analyst Trainee positions under its GenC (Generation Cognizant) freshers hiring program. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates completing their 3-year undergraduate degree in 2026.

Three Career Tracks
Cognizant offers three specialized tracks under this hiring drive. Each track has a different focus area and skill requirement:
- IT & Integrated Smart Operations (IT & ISO) — Focuses on databases, CRUD operations, stored procedures, test case execution, incident analysis, ITSM tools, and data analytics. Best suited for candidates with CS/IT backgrounds.
- Multicloud — Involves maintaining and monitoring production servers, incident management, troubleshooting across Windows, Network, Database, Storage, and Cloud environments. Ideal for infrastructure-oriented candidates.
- Digital Workplace Services (DWS) — Centers on end-user technical support, first-line IT support, hardware and software troubleshooting, and building self-service knowledge bases. Great for candidates who enjoy customer-facing technical roles.
Track assignment is based on your academic background, skill assessment, and organizational requirements. While you can indicate a preference, final allocation is at Cognizant's discretion.
Selection Process
The Cognizant GenC hiring process typically consists of the following rounds:
- •Round 1: Online Assessment — 55 questions in 120 minutes covering Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Automata (Coding)
- •Round 2: Communication Test — 15-minute assessment of written and spoken English proficiency
- •Round 3: Technical + HR Interview — 30-minute combined interview covering technical concepts, behavioral questions, and role fitment
The Online Assessment is the primary elimination round. Focus your preparation here — candidates who clear this stage have a significantly higher chance of receiving an offer.
